BANK ROBBERY FOILED - ONE SUSPECT KILLED BY POLICE, ONE ARRESTED
The National Bank of San Andreas was the scene of a pitched firefight between armed assailants and police officers earlier today in an apparent bank robbery attempt, making this the fourth bank robbery in as little as three months.
Two as of yet unidentified men, one armed with an assault rifle and the other with a handgun, entered the bank during the lunch hour and seized an undisclosed amount of money. LSPD police officers were alerted and immediately rushed to the scene. Apparently unaware of the police response, the suspects opened fire on police upon exiting the bank and a firefight ensued. One suspect was immediately killed and the other fled but was wounded when he ran into the path of an oncoming emergency vehicle. He was taken into custody after being treated for non-life threatening injuries. All of the money was subsequently recovered by police.
Los Santos has been plagued by a steep increase in bank robberies over the course of the last three months, nearly all of them marked by violence. Four bank robberies have taken place in the past three months alone, but it is reported that the investigations were concluded in each incident and everybody involved has either been arrested or was killed by police.
