In what is becoming something of a monthly ritual, the Sheriff's Department this week welcomed quite a large number of new recruits into its ranks. Pictured above is Sheriff Roberts and the long line of new recruits.

The ceremony itself took place on Sunday evening at the usual location in San Fierro. TraceNews™ was given exclusive access to the area before the ceremony began, as well as a special interview with the Sheriff herself.

"How do I feel right now? I feel great," comments Ms Roberts, "Seeing all these people graduate is simply wonderful." She also commented on the amount of interest from the general public, stating that she was "surprised" that so many civilians had attended the ceremony once again.

Each new Deputy was present in uniform and marched around the park in unison. Following this they were each given a brief audience with Ms Roberts, who presented them with their badges and wished them good luck with the future work.

"If I were to give them any advice," she continues, "I would say that they should only continue with the job so long as they enjoy it. Many of the most successful law enforcement officers have succeeded because of their ability to actually like what they do."

Of course it was only when the official ceremony finished when the real fun began. Each new Deputy and all present civilians were invited to an after-party at an exclusive club to celebrate their achievement. Only on very rare occasions are people in this profession permitted to "let their hair down", but as you can see from the pictures this was definitely one of them!

The Sheriff's Department continues to be a popular choice for those wishing to start a career in law enforcement and has shown itself to be a key asset in the fight against rising rates of unemployment. If you are considering giving it a go then watch this space.

TraceNews™ wishes the new recruits all the best in their duties; stay safe!
